I ended up being the lucky one in 4th grade to receive this saxophone new as a rental. Later my parents decided to buy it for me for 5th grade. This is my only alto sax, as well as my first, and it is clearly the best. Do not go and buy anything other or cheaper than this. Having played school instruments, this is clearly the best alto on the market. Now that i am in high school, i am transitioning to a tenor, ironicially its a yamaha i got.... If tenor flies with me, I will definetely buy another yamaha. The craftsmanship in these is amazing and they all just feel so natural, fine tuned, and easy to play. Undoubtely my favorite saxes.
