Great sticks

these are really great sticks. My favorite things about them are that 1:they are pretty heavy and make you actually work your chops, 2: they have a GREAT feel, and 3: they are undipped. I hate dipped sticks because they feel all slimy and weird when you get sweaty hands. I only use these as practice sticks because my quadline uses the aungst Hybrids, which after a session with the MS4's feel like little twigs. Overall these sticks are great to play with and definitely push your chops.

Feel the burn!

These are possibly my favorite marching sticks that I've had the pleasure of using. These babies play through the head and, in the right hands, can coax audio perfection out of a snare or tenor; pianos that are warm and full, fortes that are rich without being overbearing, and rimshots with a perfect balance of head and rim sound. To get the full range of sound, however, one major hurtle for most people will be the weight. With the combined weight of almost a pound and nearly an inch shorter than many of Vic's other products, people who've forged their chops around Ralphies or similarly light sticks might find their arms burning like it's their first year on the line again. The wood used in these sticks not only give them their weight, but a strength that let them outlast virtually any other stick on the market, justifying their relatively high retail price by saving you the cost of replacements. Once you tame these beasts, their quality and lifespan will prove worth every penny.

The Alco Snare line switched to these from our usual Innovate Percs. These sticks feel great, and are very durable. Two pairs lasted me a season, as compared to 1 pair of I.P's a week. They are a bit shorter, and have excelent response to kevlar heads.

I mostly play drumset, and in marching band I play the tenors. But nothing beats these sticks. Ralph Hardimon's sticks are wimpy compared to these beasts. These are so incredible for rudiments, and for honing your technique. When I first used them, I got these crazy blisters on my fulcrums, and other various parts on my hands that I didn't know I was holding too tightly. After a few hours of honing my technique, these sticks don't give me any blisters anymore.

They're incredible for learning how to use rebound to control your sticks.

WAIT WAS WORTH IT!

I purchased these sticks not too long ago. While they are much heavier than the normal stick, the MAGNUMS are quite short... I mainly use these sticks for warm-up...especially 8-8-16...to help stretch my muscles and work my folcrum. These sticks were worth the money i paid.
