I have used these mallets at my highschool, they are light so you can play fast, yet at the same time they are heavy enough to play loud. I have used the hard ones, and the shape idk if it has much of an affect but has great response.

We use these mallets in marching band and they do last a long time. We did manage to break a pair in 1 year but they really are great mallets. open diddles, nice scrapes, and nice crossovers.

These mallets are quite nice, They do break though, so don't think that they don't. The puffies are beautiful sounding, a nice rich tone, the extra hard, a nice clean sharp sound. I haven't tried the felt ones or the cartwheels though, but I am sure they are quality.

Great sticks. They offer excellent rebound and great control and are perfect for scrapes and super easy for crossovers. These sticks will break, but after years of use. Great mallets!

I got the extra hard Mallets for Christmas, and I used them when i got back to school, and i have never heard my rolls so clean and crisp! Im never using sticks again on tenors! The only thing that isnt all that great is that because of the weight on the heads, i cant go as fast when it comes to scraping. But you have to learn to walk before u can run, so I'm not even trippin on that. I recommend these, especially if your the only tenor drummer in the band!
