An Incredible Snare

I have played/performed on a variety of different brand-named marching snares (including Dynasty and Yamaha sfz) and the Pearl Championship Carbonply is by far the most responsive and articulate I have performed on. While most Kevlar sporting snare drums have issues with their "snare" resonance at low dynamic ranges...the Pearl Carbonply triggers the snares at just a tap of your finger. So no more sounding like a tenor drum at mezzo-forte and below.

I have also noticed that my Carbonply has some “oomph” to it as well….some depth in its voice, if you will, not just a ticking sound like someone playing on a concrete block.

The only thing that you MUST do after buying this drum is take off the Mylar (clear) head and replace it with the Remo K-Falam Head (Kevlar head). The combination of this head and the Carbonply shell will tune-up to perfection (I have ebony on mine and it looks great ! )

Ive marched with this drum before and the black shine of the shell just lights the face up of people looking. This thing can hold high tension and you really cant go wrong with tightening it up really tight and not worry bout it snapping in half. if your gunna get a snare drum... get this. you really cant go wrong

Ok, this drum can outplay my dynasty anyday of the week I don't know how because dynasty's are suppose to be the best you can buy, but clearly this is the daddy-dog of marching snares. I recently received my masterpiece of a drum and when it came out of the box the angles went "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" because the super shiny black coat and chrome hardware were amazing. We'll thats about it but if your a serious drummer definetly invest in this amazing drum " I know I did"

This thing is awesome. My school just got 6 of these in and I am one of the lucky ones who gets to play one. This drum has it all. It has a good punch and cuts through all other sounds. You can also tune it to have just about any sound that you want. If you would like it can have a high tinny sound, but you can also tune it to give you a good lower punch. The rim shot sound is also amazing! Over all this is one of the best marching drums that I have ever played!
