The Meyer Metal Jazz Alto Sax Mouthpiece is a wonderful mouthpiece. It plays very well and your tone is flawless. For your altissimo notes, they can speak better and they more in tune. I would tell about this mouthpiece to anyone who plays the alto saxophone. It has a great value and quality. You won't regret buying this mouthpiece. This mouthpiece is wonderful. I would tell anyone about it. The tone this mouthpiece produces is like a pro. Honestly, this is a great value for the metal mouthpiece. If anyone wants to improve their altissimo notes and their lower range, buy this mouthpiece. All of your notes are under control and you will be so much better than you ever were or even imagined.

I have played a Meyer Metal 7J on my Selmer SBA alto for about 5 years and I absolutely love it!! I am a pro musician and gig 4 nights a week and it has never let me down. It is easy to control, free blowing, and responsive to a wide variety of subtlties of expression. I have ran teh gamut in mouthpieces and have found many to be a "one trick pony". This mouthpiece, for me, is very flexible and suitable for a variety of situations. I will warn that it does tarnish and is pretty hard too keep looking new, but plays great!!!!
