I’ve had my CX90 Prestige tenor since March 09. I bought it as a contrast to my black nickel tenor and have loved this copper Keilwerth from the fist time that I played it.

The lower register plays exceptionally well, especially when paired with a Morgan L HR mouthpiece. It can produce wonderful, open sounds all the way down to Bb without “barking”. The altissimo is almost flute-like—a great contrast to the buzz that I get with my black nickel tenor. The intonation is impeccable and its sonorous qualities give it a noticeably different aesthetic.
