Awesome trumpet

I have owned this trumpet for about two years and it is the best horn I have every played. The projection and tone quality is unmatched. I have played Strads before and truly believe this is a superior horn. I would not recommend it for a beginning player however because it requires a lot of air to produce a good sound.

I have been playing for 15 yrs now and have had a few horns over the years. I must say that I am very pleased with this horn, I just bought it last week. Let me tell you, this horn plays better than a Strat, Xeno, and Conn Vintage. I have owned a strat, conn and Kanstul and this horn is just as good. The sound on it is awesome, the sound projects well and is centered. As soon as I took the horn out of the case, I tried the valves and wow very sooth. You will be happy with the price and the horn, I highly recomend this trumpet for the price and quality. Only thing is the case was not the one shown, but then again I plan on buying a gig bag anyway's.

Wow, this is HEAVY

The first thing I noticed about this trumpet is how very HEAVY the thing is. The bottom valve caps must weigh at least a pound each, ha ha. But then I played it....

Buttery smooth Jazz perfection. I've owned a Strad for several years now, and while great for classical, it just never did the job for Jazz. So, after hearing a friend of mine go off on how much he loved his Giardinelli 812, I did the unthinkable...I got the trumpet without ever playing it. Risky? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

The sound is phenominal, one of the warmest I've ever heard. Even the stock mouthpiece is good (but my Monette B2 is definately better).

The only thing I'm complaining about, is that the case that was sent to me was not the one shown. Instead, it's some flimsy plastic thing that feels like it's going to fall apart every time I pick it up. That's easily changed, though.

I sold my strad and tried four horns before I ordered the 812. Since it was not American made I didn't expect much but boy was I wrong. This horn produces a centered tone and increases my range by three full steps. I love it and would recommend it to collegiate and professional musicians.
